Can you believe we have spent three summers in our rental? It seems like just yesterday we moved this far west of the valley. I honestly never thought I could get so attached to something that wasn’t mine. Buuuut, here we are. 2 babies later, and a heck of a lot of memories and I already get so emotional knowing this place won’t be ours for much longer.
I always find myself dreaming of living in a home with a beautiful backyard full of trees and grass and a line of clothes drying out in the back (yes, I’m serious! Lol). I find myself saying, “I can’t wait until we can be in the backyard more. With more things to do. It’s going to be so fun!”
But then, I snap these photos and get reminded that it doesn’t take a beautiful backyard to make memories. You can see the joy on the kid’s faces and how this backyard is so much more to them than just a spot of grass as I see it. This is their childhood. Soaking in this last summer in this home we have called our own.
I’m not crying. I’m not crying…
