*Thank you JCPenney for partnering up with us on this post. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.*
Millie came into my room the other day after school, and I couldn’t help but notice how much older she felt to me. It’s really crazy, this age thing. It’s like within a blink of an eye, she’s this independent 5 year old, and just yesterday I was holding her hand through all of the life changes. Don’t get me wrong, I love watching this transition and she absolutely loves school, her teachers, and her new friends she has made.
I think regardless of each milestone they hit and how present we are during those times, we will always yearn for the moments when they were younger. I mean, it really is so bittersweet. Haha. Watching the kids get home from the bus stop, and having conversations with them about how their day went will probably always be my favorite. It’s been two weeks since they started, and I’m already waiting for that clock to strike 3:20pm so they can be home. A quiet house is nice and all, but can get really lonely after a while.
I think it’s fun seeing them in their everyday element and how well they are both doing with the transition. Ethan has even made it a point to pick out his school clothes the day before and he loves to help his sister pick out her outfit too. It’s always the fun part, picking out clothes. And we especially had fun shopping at our all-time favorite store, JCPenney.
They offer great styles at great value, making it easy for us to discover items we love for less time, money, and effort. It’s really a one-stop shop for our everyday needs and their back to school trends are so on point. I’m pretty sure Ethan’s favorite brand right now is Arizona, he picked all of the cool colored striped tees for his new wardrobe and he is constantly wanting to rewear the same shirts, haha.
Make sure to check out the variety of brands that JCPenney has to offer when back to school shopping. You can shop all their styles, here.
