Xanders mini bathtime routine

*thank you Aquaphor for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are 100% my own*

Oh, what I would give to have those days where bathing Xander was more fun and enjoyable (for me at least. Haha) See, the thing with Xander is he loves the water. Like, loves. But, as soon as I start adding shampoo and what not, to actually clean him, he starts crying and will try to get away. Haha

It may just be a stage, or just that I’m getting in the way of what he thinks is play time. Whatever the case is, it’s always a battle between him and I, and that’s not even half of what I deal with when I try to get him out. No joke, there was one time I sat next to the tub for well over 20 minutes, just so he could hold two small toys and point to his tiny toes that were all of a sudden becoming pruney (Is that even a word?).

Oh, how this boy just loves the water and how much I love just watching him play with his tiny imagination and his exaggerated mimics of what his older siblings teach him. Most of the time it’s him throwing these toys out of the tub with an immediate “ohhhhhh” as his face turns into excitement because he feels like “YAY! I MADE IT!”

With every bath though, I’ve noticed how dry and chapped his skin really is, and regardless of how much of a hurry we are in, we have been taking the time to actually lather on some of the Aquaphor Healing Ointment, for dry/chapped/or irritated skin. It’s actually made a huge difference on his skin, and has put so much ease on letting him bathe much longer then he needs. I know all babies skins are different, and that’s what I love about the Aquaphor Healing ointment, it’s like magic in a bottle. Haha. No really, this product can not only helped with dry skin but it’s also good for diaper rash, drool rash, minor scratches & scrapes, irritated skin, chafed skin, rash in between the baby “rolls”, other infant rashes, or atopic dermatitis.

If it were up to me, I’d rather carry one magic in a bottle, than 10 different ointments for different occasions. 😉 I know that with Xander (and the older two) they rough house all the time, so it’s really handy when the kids get hurt and have a minor scrape or scratch.

I’m so happy I have found these products! They are hypoallergenic, fragrance free, paraben free products and I love that they have been healing Xander’s dry skin on a daily! We have been using these products for well over a month and will definitely be stocking up for when baby comes around.
