I can’t believe Easter is already this weekend! I haven’t even made the kids Easter baskets yet. It seems like these days I’m always so last minute anyways. But, I wanted to talk a little more about our cute family tradition that we have done every year for the last few years. It’s always so fun to see the kids look forward to these holidays. And I know they will look back and remember these, just as I do.
Easter isn’t only about Bunnies, Chocolate Eggs, and cute spring outfits. We like to start our morning by remembering why Easter became a holiday, and why we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We start our Mornings EARLY, and when I mean early, I mean that we are up by 4 am, dressed, and out the door by 5 am. so we can make it to the sunrise mass at our church. It sounds crazy, right? Well, I have been doing this since I was really little, and I loved it. I appreciate the importance of this tradition more so now that I am a mom. They hold the mass outside so that we can enjoy the sunrise. Hence the word “Sunrise Mass.”
Following Sunrise Mass, we head over to Mimis Cafe for a quick breakfast, and then head back home for a change out of our Sunday’s best, and a nap! Around Lunchtime, we will pack up for a picnic at a local pond, and we will spend a good majority of the afternoon eating, Easter egg hunting, feeding the ducks, and just relaxing. We look forward to a simple, quiet day almost every year.
I know you have probably seen this outfit on me about five times in the last few weeks. I bought my Easter outfit early this year, and I can’t seem to stop wearing it. I wanted to share with you all the details on this cute romper I picked up from my local JCPenney. It’s crazy how much time I can spend inside JCPenney; it’s my one-stop shopping place for all the trendy and affordable merchandise. I can seriously count on JCPenney for the most stylish collections at an excellent price. How cute is this romper? You can purchase it HERE, and you can find similar flats HERE.
