Who would’ve thought that I would be able to stick to a diet for two whole months? ME. On a diet. Well, let me just tell you it was the easiest diet I have been on in my entire life. Why? Because I was able to eat as often as I normally do, and ate pretty much how I did before my diet started. Jenny Craig let me choose the food I wanted on my menu, and I picked everything from Cheeseburgers to cinnamon rolls to popcorn. It was a piece of cake (I had that for dessert, too)!
They made a customized meal plan for me to eat 1700 calories since I am nursing Xander I need to intake more calories (I was not complaining). So I would have my breakfast, a snack before lunch, lunch, a snack before dinner, dinner, and then dessert. It was almost like I had to eat more than what I was eating before my diet. Having Tracy as my mentor has been making this diet so easy, she has taught me some fun ways to include my vegetable intake. Like if I got tired of eating salad every day, She told me to get some spinach and add it to a fruit smoothie. Yum! She has also been very helpful when it comes to helping me find activities to do around the house because she understands there’s no time for this momma at the gym.
The convenience of this diet is what I’ll miss the most. Having my food delivered to my door and organized from what will be stored in the freezer and what in the pantry. To telling me, what should be eaten for lunch, breakfast, and dinner. I feel like they do all the dieting for me, I just eat. I could never stick to a diet because I never have time or patience to sit and meal plan for the week, let alone an entire month. Also, running out to the store and buying all said things to cook, ah! Gives me anxiety just thinking about it.
I guess now you’re probably wondering, How many pounds have you lost? I started this diet weighing 152! Over 20 pounds pre-pregnancy weight and I was over not fitting in any of my regular pants. Well, for the last two months I was able to shed the last few baby pounds off easy. Within two months I lost 17 pounds (Results not typical. Members following the Jenny Craig program, on average, lose 1-2 lbs. per week. I received promotional consideration)! I now weight 135lbs!!! This is a huge accomplishment for me, and I cannot thank Jenny Craig’s program enough to making me feel great again!
