FOCUSING ON WHAT’S IMPORTANT AS A HOMEMAKER

It is often said that I have the powers of super women. Of course, coming from my husband who appreciates when the house is clean, there is dinner on the table, and the kids are well groomed. All while my children are always running amuck, and pulling things out from left to right. Still, demanding I have the time of day to listen to every word they speak, every favor they ask, and often calling me from the toilet seat. As mothers, w e have so many things on our everyday to-do list that we hardly ever have time to sit back and worry about all the chaos that life brings. Some moms handle it better than others, and some days we push aside our list and just sit back to enjoy the smell of fresh flowers and coffee.. Can’t forget the coffee!
Being overwhelmed, stressed, or just pure avoiding my list won’t make my life any easier. Instead of seeing my everyday tasks as a “Chore” I have learned to love what I do. I Learned to love washing dirty dishes, folding the clean clothes AND putting them away, and I fell in love with my mop. I have learned to respond instantly to my child’s needs, attending to unwanted items in my living room as soon as I see them, and of course making sure my “TO-DO” List is done every day. My life revolves around my family and our home. If I can’t seem to love what I do, then why would I stay home every day and do it?

If you find your passion in homemaking, your home and life will be less chaotic, more happy, and a lot cleaner. With that said, every day involves a lot of coffee brewing, quiet time, and finding ways to stay “Focused.”

There are a few things us Mothers/Homemakers can do to stay focused: Meditation, Yoga, Jogging, Hot baths, Quiet time, etc. One thing I find super useful is an Intouch/Focus Oil blend, that you can apply to help you with Enhances and sustains a sense of focus, Supports efforts of those who have difficulty paying attention and staying on task, and helps you when you need to study.
